Solution 1:


  1. Close your QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Open the folder which has the reboot.bat file:
  3. Right-click the QuickBooks Desktop icon and choose properties.
  4. Click Open file location.
  5. Right-click the reboot.bat file and choose Run as Administrator.
  6. Ensure that you run reboot.bat as the Windows Administrator.
  7. Depending on your Windows Folder Options settings file may show as reboot.bat or reboot.
  8. Do not close the manually appeared window ( A black window will open with scrolling filename). This will close when the reboot.bat file utility has completed.
  9.  Now, restart your computer.


Solution 2:


  1. From the File menu, select Close Company/Logoff
  2. Note: If you open multiple company files in QuickBooks Desktop, you have to do this step for every company that is open.
  3. Go to the File menu then select Exit.
  4. Right-click the QuickBooks Desktop icon on your Desktop then select Run as administrator.
  5.  Make sure you are in the No Company Open screen.
  6. Go to Help > Update QuickBooks > Options.
  7. Select the Mark All button then Save.
  8. Select Update Now > Reset Update > Get Updates.
  9. When Update Complete appears, close QuickBooks Desktop.
  10. Open QuickBooks Desktop. If you get a message to install an update, select Yes.
  11.  When the installation is complete, restart your computer.


Solution 3:


1. Close QuickBooks
2. Click the Windows button
3. Open the Control Panel
4. Click Uninstall or change program
5. In the list of programs select QuickBooks
6. Click Uninstall/Change
7. In the QuickBooks installation window, click Next
8. Select the Repair radio button, click Next
9. Click the Repair button at the bottom
10. After the repair process completes, click Finish. The QuickBooks application should now be repaired
11. Reboot your computer
12. Open your QuickBooks to verify that it opens normally
